Hotplate for Vacuum Filling Chamber HPV66A

A hotplate heating option is available for LC Technologies vacuum filling chambers.

The rate at which a liquid crystal device fills is dependent upon the viscosity of the material (among other variables). Viscous liquid crystal materials such as cholesterics or smectics may be difficult or impossible to fill at room temperature. LC Technologies’ hotplate option can be used to heat the cell and/or LC pitcher to reduce viscosity, or fill in the isotropic state. The electrical connectors for the controller and hotplate can be connected to the electrical feedthrough for operation in the chamber under vacuum, or connected directly for use as a standard lab hotplate.

* Heat up to 135°C
* Control to +/- 0.1°C
* Heating Rate = 6°C / min. up to 100°C
* Hard coat anodized surface for easy cleaning
* Objects larger than 6” x 6” will lie flat on heated surface
* Unit supplied with electrical vacuum feedthrough
* Unit may be used as stand alone, outside of vacuum chamber
* Custom sizes available
